We are pleased to announce that the 2nd International Taiwan MuShuei.Jung Retreat Conference on Jungian Psychology will be held at Hotel Royal Chihpen on the dates of April 21-April 24, 2016. The conference is sponsored and hosted by MuShuei.Jung Culture Company. And it is strongly supported by International School of Analytical Psychology Zurich (ISAPZurich), IAAP Taiwan Jung Developing Group, and the startup Analytical Psychology School SG (APSS) in Singapore.

MuShuei.Jung retreat conference is modelled on the successful Jungian Odyssey held by ISAP Zurich in Switzerland. This event aims to bridge the study of Jungian psychology to Far East. It is a unique 5 stars full board retreat conference in Asia.

The Featured Speakers

Bernhard Sartorius, lic. theol. graduated from C.G. Jung Institute Zurich in 1974, maintaining his private analytical practice first in Geneva, and since 1997 in Lucerne and Zurich. He is a training analyst and supervisor at ISAPZURICH. Among his publications on symbolical subjects are the essays, ¡§Eros and Psyche Revisited,¡¨ in Love:Traversing its Peaks and valleys, JOS Vol.V (2013); ¡§Le Mecque ou/ou on meurt,¡¨ in Vouivre, Cahiers de psychologie analytique, Pèlerinages, Numero 11 (2011); and his book on he orthodox church, L¡¦Eglise orthodoxe, Grandes religions du monde, Vol. 10 (Edito-Service, 1982).

Dr. Lionel Corbett trained in medicine and psychiatry in  
England and as a Jungian Analyst  at the C.G. Jung Institute
of Chicago. He is a professor of depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, in Santa Barbara, California, where he teaches depth psychology. He is the author of numerous professional papers and four books: Psyche and the sacred; The religious function of the psyche; The sacred cauldron: Psychotherapy as a spiritual practice, and The soul in anguish: Psychotherapeutic approaches to suffering. He is the co-editor of: Jung and aging; Depth psychology, meditations in the field; Psychology at the threshold; and Psyche's stories.

Ursula Wirtz, Ph.D., is a training analyst and supervisor at the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAPZURICH) and holds the Academic Chair of ISAPZURICH's Jungian Odyssey Committee. She is actively engaged in the training of Jungian analysts in Eastern European countries and taught at various European universities and abroad. She is the author of numerous publications on trauma, sexual abuse and spirituality. Her recent book Trauma and Beyond. The Mystery of Transformation is in the process of being translated into Chinese by Taiwan MuShuei.Jung Culture Company.

Transport Information



I. Taipei International Airport
If you arrive in Taipei International Airport, please take the shuttle bus for 40 mins to Taipei domestic Songshan Airport.

We suggest that you arrive at Songshan airport at 17:00 and
to catch up the flight to Taitung airport at 17:30, operated by Mandarin airline.

You can book the flight on their English Website.

The flight will take only 50 mins.

When you arrive in the Taitung Airport, there will be a car there waiting for you
and bring you to the conference hotel.

2. Kaohsiung International Airport

If you arrive in Kaohsiung International Airport, please take the MRT (Red Lines)
for 25-30 mins and get off at Xin-Zuoying (Zuoying) railway station.

We suggest that you arrive at Kaohsiung International Airport no later than 2:30pm,
therefore you will be able to arrive at Xin-Zuoying (Zuoying) railway station at about 3:30p
m.

You will have a little spare time to get your ticket at the train station and catch up the express train which departs from Xin-Zuoying station at 16:10pm.

The route will take about 2.5 hours, with amazing views.
When the blue ocean reveals itself in front of you, it means you are approaching the destination.

Please get off at the small station called ¡§Zhiben¡¨, there will be a car there waiting for you and bring you to the conference hotel.

3. Others

This is a rural place, and is one of the best retreat place in Taiwan, which will definitely deserve you to travel far to get here.

There are not many flights and trains reach this place, but it indeed has other options other than our suggestions.
